I couldn't decide if I wanted to write a blog now, or wait until Saturday when I saw Watchmen. As you might have guesssed, I decided to write the blog now, and write about Watchmen next week. Aren't you all just thrilled?
Alrighty, I was in my mom's car the other day and we were going to Smith's. There is this Watchmen commercial and they use the Smashing Pumpkins song "The end is the beginning of the end" on this commercial. That also happens to be the song on my blog right now. Anyway, listen to that and then listen to this David Byrne song that my mom was listening to. The drum beats sound exactly the same only the Smashing Pumpkins one is slower. I guess you only really have to listen to the first little bit of it, but oh well. Oh yeah, here's THE LINK!!!
Ha ha ha, overdramatic. I am so bad at memorizing things. If you would like to know how I got from the overdramatic idea to the being bad at memorizing things, follow this chain. Overdramatic reminded me of drama which reminded me of Kati whose in drama which reminded me of things you do in drama like memorize things which reminded me of french plays that I haven't memorized the lines to yet, which also reminded me of Shakespeare parts that I haven't memorized all the way through yet. Luckily I have some pretty sweet skills under stress for memorizing things. I guess the freakout mode should be coming up pretty soon.
Holy cow, the most amazing thing has happened. The other day I went to take the recycling with my father, and on the way back we stopped at Tasty's to get a donut. From that point we noticed that there is no a heebeegeebeez right across the street from the Starbuck's that's across the street from the Tasty's that we were at. So we were like, yeah, maybe we'll go in there. They might have some comics. Well, they do which is amazing because I don't have to go to Salt Lake to get them anymore. That's not the cool thing though. The cool thing is this.
When I was younger, (I was going to say little, but I was in like 4th grade) I went to this place to play Pokemon cards. Yeah, cheesy I know, but it was way fun, and if they still did that, I would totally go. This place was called Endzone. One day we drove down to Endzone, (it was kind of a long drive when we used to live in Ogden) and we found out that they were closed. That was so sad for me, because that was my favorite thing to do on Thursday nights. So here I am, five years later, and I'm driving around on Saturday with my mom to find this lighting store in Clearfield. We stopped at Grounds for Coffee, where my mom explained to me why they called it "Grounds for Coffee." Don't ask me why they call it that, because I still don't know. Anyway, so we set off again and we drove past, you guessed it, Endzone! They had moved their store to Clearfield so we went in there to take a look around, and it brought back all these memories from my childhood. Oh, and did I mention, they have comics too! It was so weird finding two comic book stores in one weekend, and they were both way closer than Salt Lake City.
So anyway, that's my life in a nutshell right now. I'M SO EXCITED FOR WATCHMEN! Rorschach is on my desktop right now...
